A remote second opinion can help you discuss an existing diagnosis, compare proposed options or decide whether travelling for an in-person assessment is worthwhile. Shengshi coordinates the process; qualified clinicians provide the medical opinion.
Start with a free conversation about coordination. Formal specialist review, multidisciplinary consultation and document translation may have fees; we explain these before you agree. No need to buy flights to ask your first questions.
Ask about a remote review
1. Prepare your questions
Tell us the diagnosis you have been given, the question you want answered, your preferred language and whether a local doctor is involved. For urgent symptoms, seek local care immediately.
2. Agree on records and fees
The hospital may request pathology, scans, recent tests, treatment history and medicine lists. We confirm consent, the receiving institution and the transfer method before records are shared.
3. Meet or receive a written review
Depending on the institution, review may be written or by video. Confirm the specialist, interpreter, appointment, deliverables and timing. Not all records are sufficient for a remote conclusion.
4. Choose your next step
Discuss the opinion with your usual doctor. Options may include continuing local care, further tests or a trip to China. Review does not guarantee acceptance for treatment and is not a substitute for emergency or hands-on care.
